This free, informal, workshop helps new trustees and management committee members of small/medium organisations to become aware of some key aspects and tools of governance. The emphasis of the workshop is to help you identify your learning needs and signpost you to further resources that you can access at a later date.
The workshop will take you through the following topics:
- What is governance and what are you responsible for?
- Regulatory bodies?
- Governance document “health check”
- Your annual “to-do” list
- Basic tools for effective governance
- Trustee / management committee member personality test!
- Further sources of information
Please read the following information carefully.
- We can accept only one person per organisation to the workshop.
- Your organisation must be based in Wandsworth, with annual income of less than £250k.
- You have less than one-year experience of being a trustee / management committee member.
- If you are not able to make it during the day and would like to attend this workshop, please contact us. If there are enough people interested in the workshop, we will consider running an evening session in the future.
NB: The entrance to Lifetimes' office is on All Saints Passage, off Wandsworth High Street between All Saints Church and NatWest (our office is above NatWest). Please see map.
The office is on the second floor, up 36 steps with no lift.
